PEAK is a statewide, award-winning program reaching over 20,000 students annually in over 15 counties and 60 school districts throughout California.
PEAK promotes: - Student Understanding of the Science of Energy & the Environmental Impacts of Energy Use
- Behavioral Changes Related to Energy Conservation, Energy Efficiency & Demand Response
- Action-Based Activities that Begin in a Classroom and Continue Throughout Student Communities and Homes
Participating school districts receive resources at no cost, including: - Professional Development & Training for Teachers
- Hands-On, Standards-Based Curriculum for 3rd through 7th Grade
- Classroom Toolkit of Science Supplies
- Access to Interactive Software and On-Line Resources
- On-Going Support , On and Off-Site Consulting
PEAK continues to strive for better, leading efforts in: - Developing Curriculum Accommodations for Special Needs
- Building Career Exploration Modules
- Designing Fundraising Opportunities
These programs are funded by California rate payers under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission.
